- Remember RICE after an Acute Injury:
- REST for 24 to 48 hours
- Apply Ice for up to 20 minutes for the first 2 to 3 days
- Use Compression to reduce swelling and limit movement to prevent further injury
- Elevate the affected limb to reduce edema
